New in Outcome: Checklists

As we have helped our first customers focus on the "3 Questions for Better Outcomes" we have definitely seen a pattern. 

  1. At the beginning, customers think about writing a lot of overview articles but then quickly realize that those will really only be read when users are getting started.
  2. As they really analyze the problems they are trying to solve, a lot of them can be solved using checklists.

If you haven't read "The Checklist Manifesto: How to Get Things Right" by Atul Gawande then I highly recommend it. There is a lot of great content in the book, but as you can guess by the title, the main point is that checklists can make a big difference. In his book he details how checklists have transformed everything from aviation to operating rooms.

Why? Because in the modern world the problem usually isn't that we don't know what to do. It is that we have so much information going around in our heads that we can't remember the details and forget crucial steps.

But checklists can go a long way towards solving all of that and that is why we are thrilled to announce checklists in Outcome!

You can now create checklists that will appear right in the web apps your teammates use. The simple reminder of a checklist can have a big impact on the effectiveness of your team. If you don't believe me, then just read the book.
